A message from Diva's owner, Cindy McCartney...
about

Thank you for visiting our website!

I’m thrilled to say that Diva is well into its eleventh year..it seems like just yesterday that I took my love of clothing, accessories and shoes and created a business around it.  My career, up until then, had been in corporate cosmetics management.  In 2006 I decided I'd had enough of that world.  I was ready to embark on something new.  I had always loved shopping at consignment stores, and wanted to open one of my own with a European and boutique-y atmosphere.  And so Diva was born.

I named the store after one of my rescue dachshunds, whose name was Diva when we adopted her (she absolutely is one, too...) You will see a lot of dachshund decor here (even a dachshund mannequin in the window). We are in a three-story 1880's townhouse with an inviting warmth—customers sometimes can’t believe the store is actually a consignment shop. With chairs and magazines to keep your significant other happy as you shop, the sublime music on the “Diva Soundtrack” and a fun atmosphere where women end up helping each other choose the perfect outfit, we were chosen as the consignment store with the "best vibe" in the Washington metro area by Washingtonian Magazine, as well as "Best Consignment Shop" by Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazines.

We carry women’s brands which range from Chanel, Prada, Gucci and
Michael Kors to J. Crew, Anthropologie and Tory Burch—the selection varies daily—but we are always filled with bargains on the labels you love. We carry a collection of jewelry to complement the fashions we carry, as well as shoes, handbags, scarves and other unique accessories.

I hope that you will visit the store soon and experience Diva for yourself!
